and yes, file sharing such as music downloading from sources such as limewire can give you viruses. You have no idea where the music originated thus the risk.

Also consider getting Comodo for your firewall

Also ---- using Firefox may lessen your chances of getting hacked into(viruses,etc.--bad guys) Opera is another one along with Safari.

Anything that you download into your computer can also carry "a virus". Be careful of who/what you allow to come into your "home". Just don"t "open the door" for anything and everything --- for you might be inviting the "wolf" to come in.
