For Anti-Virus I would reccomend Avira Antivir, Avast, or AVG free.

For Spyware I would reccomend Spybot Search and destroy or even better - Ad-Aware 2007.

For a firewall I would reccomend ZoneAlarm.

Windows has an inbuilt de-fragger just go to start - all programs - accessories - system tools - disk defragmentor.
